New Crisis Between Hakim Ziyech and Wydad: Direct Confrontation with Club President
Tensions have escalated between Moroccan international Hakim Ziyech and Wydad Athletic Club's management after the player made a sharp public statement on his Instagram account following his exclusion from the team's camp in Agadir.
Ziyech responded to a post from one of Wydad's pages, which clarified that his absence from the camp was due to an administrative decision, writing: "Go ask your president why he refused to let me play in the match against Nahda Zemamra, not why I didn't go to Agadir... He might lie about that as usual."
This escalation comes amid strained relations between Ziyech and Wydad's management, after the new administration, led by Ibrahim Al-Asri, attempted to reach an agreement with the player regarding a salary reduction, but Ziyech rejected the financial proposals presented to him.
Ziyech's future with Wydad is now shrouded in new questions, as both parties await the outcome of their relationship in the coming days.
