Liverpool Held to Draw by Nottingham in Premier League
A positive draw ended the clash between Liverpool and Nottingham Forest with a score of 2-2, which took place on Saturday evening at Anfield, as part of the second round of the Premier League.
With this draw, Liverpool raised their tally to two points, temporarily occupying the 10th position in the league table, while Nottingham Forest secured their first point of the season, placing them temporarily in 12th.
Nottingham Forest opened the scoring in the 24th minute through Dan Ndiaye, who received a decisive pass from Gibbs-White, giving the visitors the advantage before Liverpool attempted to get back into the match.
Liverpool managed to equalize in the 60th minute, with Alexander Isak capitalizing on a cross from Cody Gakpo and easily converting it into the net against Nottingham Forest.
Nottingham Forest regained the lead after the referee awarded a penalty against goalkeeper Alisson. Morgan Gibbs-White successfully converted it, putting his team back in front during the second half.
However, Liverpool refused to give up and managed to equalize in the 81st minute through Victor Munoz, who unleashed a brilliant shot from inside the penalty area after an assist from Havertz. The match ended in a 2-2 draw.
