Successful ACL Surgery for Al Ahly's Youssef Belaili

Al Ahly has officially announced the successful ACL surgery of Moroccan star Youssef Belahmri, which took place in Germany.

Al Ahly stated in an official announcement via their Facebook account: "Dr. Ahmed Gaballah, head of the medical staff at Al Ahly, announced that Youssef Belaïli, the first team football player, has undergone successful knee surgery."

He added: "The surgery involves an arthroscopic procedure to reconstruct the anterior cruciate ligament of the right knee, under the supervision of German expert Christian Prall, at a hospital in Munich."

He added: "Accompanying him during the trip was Dr. Alaa Mamoun, the deputy head of the medical staff at Al Ahly. The player is expected to leave the hospital within 48 hours, heading to Morocco to undergo the first phase of rehabilitation in coordination with the Moroccan national team's medical staff."

Moroccan left-back Belhamri suffered a cruciate ligament tear during a friendly match between Al Ahly and Spanish side Badalona, as part of the team's training camp in Spain.
