Miguel Angel Gil Marin, the CEO of Atletico Madrid, revealed the anger and frustration experienced by Argentine Julian Alvarez amid the escalating crisis surrounding his future and Barcelona's desire to sign him.

Gil Marin stated in an interview with Movistar: "Julian is not well, he is very upset because there are people who have taken on the task of misleading and confusing him," referring clearly to the parties surrounding the Argentine forward during his potential transfer negotiations to Barcelona.

Despite the tension surrounding the player's future, Gil Marin emphasized that Atletico Madrid's stance on Alvarez's transfer to Barcelona will not change, stating: "We will not negotiate with Barcelona. The decision is final."

Atletico Madrid's stance comes amid escalating tensions with Barcelona, after the Catalan club expressed interest in signing Alvarez, while the Madrid side refuses to enter negotiations with their Spanish rivals. The Atletico board has unanimously reaffirmed its commitment to this decision, stating that Barcelona has not adhered to the professional and ethical standards required by the club in transfer market negotiations.

The crisis deepens as Alvarez's relationship with Atletico fans deteriorates, following jeers during the recent match against Villarreal. Reports suggest that the player wishes to leave, while the club insists on retaining his services.

According to the latest developments, it seems that Alvarez's transfer to Barcelona has become almost impossible, while Arsenal is still keen on securing the services of the Argentine forward, which could open a new door for the player to finalize his future before the transfer window closes.
