Fiorentina Close to Securing Zirkzee Deal

Fiorentina is nearing a deal to sign Dutch forward Joshua Zirkzee from Manchester United during the current summer transfer window, as the Italian club looks to bolster its attacking line.

Italian journalist Fabrizio Romano has reported that Fiorentina has submitted an official offer to Manchester United for the services of Zirkzee on loan.

The proposed deal includes a payment of €5 million for the loan, along with a clause allowing Fiorentina to permanently sign the Dutch striker. Negotiations between the two clubs are ongoing, alongside separate discussions with the player's representatives.

Zirkzee's name has been linked with a departure from Manchester United throughout the summer transfer window, especially given his lack of regular opportunities to feature with the team.

The Dutch striker has caught the attention of several Serie A clubs, as he wishes to return to Italy after previously shining with Bologna before his move to Manchester United in the summer of 2024.

Fiorentina has turned its attention to Zirkzee after the club began searching for a new striker, with their forward Moise Kean linked to a transfer to Como, making the Manchester United player a leading option among several others.
