Official: Crystal Palace Signs Disasi
Crystal Palace has officially announced the signing of French defender Axel Disasi on loan from Chelsea, who will wear the team's jersey until the end of the 2026/2027 season.
Crystal Palace has confirmed on its official website that 28-year-old Axel Disasi has joined the team on loan until the end of the season, after being part of the France squad that finished second in the 2022 World Cup and participating in the final.
Disasi began his career with the first team at Paris FC, before moving to Reims, where he won the French Ligue 2 title. After shining there, he transferred to Monaco, where he spent three seasons, making 129 appearances and scoring a goal on his debut, before joining Chelsea in 2023.
Throughout his career, Disasi has participated in 58 Premier League matches with Chelsea, Aston Villa, and West Ham United. He also celebrated winning the UEFA Europa Conference League with Chelsea. On the international front, he has played five matches for the French national team, in addition to over 300 club appearances, including 22 matches in the Champions League and the Europa League.
Axel Disasi expressed his happiness at joining Crystal Palace, saying: "I am very happy, the club is heading in a very good direction, so I think it was the right place for me to continue my career."
The French defender added: "I know it's very difficult to play against Palace at Selhurst Park, so I'm looking forward to being on the other side now."
