Onssif Zakri Passes Medical Exam Ahead of Lisbon Move

Young Moroccan defender Moncef Zakri has taken a significant step towards officially joining Sporting Lisbon after successfully passing his medical tests. He is now awaiting the completion of contract formalities and his presentation to the media before starting training with the Portuguese team.

Zakhary arrived in the Portuguese capital Lisbon last Sunday, following an agreement between all parties regarding the terms of the deal, which is valued at approximately €4 million, including performance-related bonuses.

The player was at the José Alvalade Stadium, where he underwent medical examinations and took photos in Sporting Lisbon's jersey, awaiting the final signing of contracts and the official announcement of the transfer.

Zakhri is set to sign his contract with the Portuguese club today, with a presentation to the media scheduled before joining the team's official training.

According to circulating information, Zakhri, who is 17 years old, will sign a contract extending for five seasons, until the summer of 2031, with other reports suggesting that the contract could be for four years.

The contract includes a release clause valued at €80 million, reflecting Sporting Lisbon's bet on the young Moroccan player and his future potential.

The transfer deal is expected to reach a value of between €3.5 and €4 million, depending on the incentives and bonuses linked to the player's performance.

Zakhary has moved to Sporting Lisbon from Belgian club KV Mechelen, in a deal that comes as part of the Portuguese club's efforts to replace left-back Ricardo Mangas, who has transferred to Italian side Monza.

The Portuguese club is set to issue an official announcement regarding the transfer in the coming hours, once the administrative procedures are completed and the contracts are signed definitively. Following this, Zakari will embark on a new chapter in his career at one of Portugal's top clubs.
