Juventus consider swap deal with Crystal Palace

Juventus are considering a swap deal with Crystal Palace that would see their striker Jonathan David move to the English club in exchange for Frenchman Jean-Philippe Mateta during the final week of the summer transfer window.

According to "Avs Futebol Italia", citing "Tuttosport", Crystal Palace have recently inquired about Jonathan David, which could open the door for negotiations regarding a swap deal between the two clubs.

Mateta refuses to extend his contract with Crystal Palace beyond 2027, prompting the club to lower their demands from €35 million to €25 million. Meanwhile, Juventus values David at around €25 million, making the deal financially feasible.

Juventus are looking for a new striker despite signing Randal Kolo Muani, especially after Dusan Vlahovic's departure at the end of his contract and Loïs Openda's loan to Olympique Lyon.

According to "Avs Futebol Italy", Juventus have renewed their interest in Alexander Sørloth, the Atlético Madrid striker, and are also considering Manchester United's Joshua Zirkzee as an option, with Spalletti preferring to sign a central striker.

Jonathan David scored 8 goals during 44 matches with Juventus in his first season, but he is not part of Luciano Spalletti's plans for the new season.
