Juventus Considering Swap Deal with Crystal Palace

Juventus is exploring the possibility of a swap deal with Crystal Palace, which would see their striker Jonathan David move to the English club in exchange for French forward Jean-Philippe Mateta during the final week of the summer transfer window.

According to "Football Italia" citing "Tuttosport", Crystal Palace has recently inquired about Jonathan David, which could open the door for negotiations regarding a swap deal between the two clubs.

Mateta refuses to extend his contract with Crystal Palace beyond 2027, prompting the club to reduce their demands from €35 million to €25 million. Meanwhile, Juventus values David at around €25 million, making the deal financially feasible.

Juventus is searching for a new striker despite having signed Randal Kolo Muani, especially after Dusan Vlahovic left at the end of his contract and Luis Openda was loaned to Lyon.

According to "Football Italia", Juventus has rekindled its interest in Alexander Sørloth, the Atletico Madrid striker, while also considering Manchester United's Joshua Zirkzee as an option, with Spalletti preferring to sign a traditional striker.

Jonathan David scored 8 goals during 44 matches with Juventus in his first season, but he is not part of Luciano Spalletti's plans for the new season.
