Chelsea Hit by Three Setbacks in Alex Scott Deal
Chelsea has received a significant blow in their attempts to sign Alex Scott, the Bournemouth midfielder, as three bids from the club to acquire the player during the current summer transfer window have been unsuccessful.
According to "The i" newspaper, Chelsea has made three offers to sign Scott, but Bournemouth is holding firm on keeping the player, despite him entering the final two years of his contract with the club.
Scott is 23 years old and has previously turned down an offer from Bournemouth to renew his contract, while also attracting interest from Arsenal and Manchester United.
Sky Sports has reported that Scott has rejected Bournemouth's attempt to extend his contract, but the player's stance has not changed the club's desire to keep him, as he is expected to remain with the team.
Chelsea's interest in Scott is also tied to the uncertainty surrounding Enzo Fernández's future, who is attracting interest from Manchester City. This situation makes the Bournemouth player one of the options available for the Blues to strengthen their midfield.
