Nottingham Forest Close to Signing Liam Delap!

Nottingham Forest is close to reaching an agreement to sign English striker Liam Delap from Chelsea during the current summer transfer window, according to journalist Alex Crook.

Nottingham Forest is working to secure the signing as the player wishes to continue his journey in the Premier League, after Delap has fallen out of Chelsea's plans for the new season, with interest from several English clubs in acquiring him.

Delap joined Chelsea from Ipswich Town in the summer of 2025 for around £30 million, but he struggled during his first season with the team, scoring only one goal in 28 matches in the Premier League.

Reports indicate that Chelsea is asking for around £50 million to part ways with their striker, while it is believed that an amount close to £40 million could be enough to complete the transfer, with negotiations between the two clubs ongoing.
