Police Club Reveals Ali Mohsen's Return Date
Al-Shorta has officially announced the length of absence for new midfielder Ali Mohsen following the injury he sustained in the opening match of the Iraqi Premier League.
Mohsen suffered an injury during the first round match against Karbala, and he was unable to complete the game, leaving the pitch in the first half due to severe pain, before his condition underwent medical examinations.
The club revealed that midfielder Ali Mohsen needs about three weeks to complete his rehabilitation and return to the pitch, a period during which the "Qithara" will be without one of the key players they signed in the summer transfer window.
Mohsen's injury comes at a critical time for Al-Shorta, who are vying for the league title and competing on multiple fronts this season. The absence of an experienced player like Mohsen complicates the coach's plans in midfield, especially as the team relies on rotation due to the demands of domestic and continental matches.
The club's medical team confirmed that the injury does not require surgical intervention, and the player will undergo an intensive rehabilitation program over the next three weeks in hopes of being ready to return immediately after the upcoming break.
Al-Shorta Club signed Ali Mohsen at the beginning of this season, coming from Al-Karama, in a deal aimed at bolstering the midfield with a player who has extensive experience in the Iraqi league.
Mohsen has represented several major clubs during his career, most notably Al-Quwa Al-Jawiya and Al-Zawraa, leaving a clear impact at every stage he played thanks to his ability to connect play and build attacks.
