Ceferin Rules Out FIFA Presidential Bid
UEFA President Aleksander Ceferin has confirmed that he will not be running for the presidency of FIFA in the elections scheduled for March 2027 in Rabat.
According to a report by French newspaper "L'Équipe", Ceferin will not be a candidate in the FIFA presidential elections, preferring to continue his work at UEFA.
Aleksander Ceferin has clarified his position regarding a potential bid for the FIFA presidency, confirming his desire to remain within UEFA in the upcoming period.
Doubts are swirling around Gianni Infantino's continued presidency of FIFA, following escalating criticism directed at him regarding the project to sell part of the commercial rights to FIFA tournaments, most notably the World Cup.
Most federations had rejected the FFE project, which aimed to allocate 20% of the commercial revenues from the World Cup and FIFA tournaments to private investment funds, before FIFA decided to end the project before its launch.
