Official: Kuwait SC Appoints Feras Al-Khatib as Head Coach

Kuwait SC has ended its contract with Portuguese coach Alexandre Santos by mutual consent, following a brief period of just a month and a half. This decision came after the management evaluated the preparation period and the results achieved by the team in friendly matches.

The club announced today, Sunday, the appointment of Syrian Firas Al-Khatib as the head coach of the first football team, succeeding Santos, to lead the team in the 2026-2027 season.

Al-Khatib returns to coaching after a four-year experience with Al-Fahaheel, during which he successfully led the team to the championship group in the Kuwaiti league, before his relationship with the club ended this summer.

Al-Khatib's mission comes at a critical time as Kuwait gears up to defend their league title. They face Al-Arabi in the season opener on August 25.
