Manchester City Stuns Bournemouth with Late Comeback
Manchester City achieved a victory over Bournemouth with a score of 2-1 in the first round of the Premier League, in a match held at the Etihad Stadium.
Bournemouth took the lead in the 26th minute through Marcus Tavernier, assisted by Ivanilson, ending the first half with the visitors ahead by one goal to nil.
In the second half, Manchester City managed to come back into the match and equalize, thanks to Marc Guéhi in the 85th minute. After a cross from Shurki, Guéhi headed the ball, which deflected off a Bournemouth player and found the back of the net.
Manchester City snatched a last-minute winner through Josko Gvardiol in the 90+1 minute, assisted by Ryan Cherki. The referee initially disallowed the goal for offside, but VAR confirmed its validity.
With this victory, Manchester City has earned their first 3 points in their Premier League campaign, while Bournemouth's tally remains at zero after their opening match defeat.
