Mastantuono: Fiorentina fans made me feel at home in Argentina
Argentinian Franco Mastantuono, during the presentation of a new player at Fiorentina, expressed his great happiness at joining the club, noting that the team's sporting project was one of the main reasons behind his decision to move to Florence on loan from Real Madrid.
Mastantuono stated in comments reported by Sky Sports: "For my development, it was very important to come to a club like this. Fiorentina offered me an exciting project, and I am very happy with my decision. It’s an important time for me to return to playing football in the best way possible, and I am here to achieve the club's goals."
The player spoke about the warm welcome he received from Fiorentina fans, emphasizing that the atmosphere helped him adapt quickly: "When I arrived in Florence, the people welcomed me in an unbelievable way. Italian fans are very similar to Argentine fans, and this helps me feel at home. I want to repay this love and trust on the pitch."
Mastantuono revealed that he spoke with his compatriots Lucas Martínez Quarta and Nicolás González before his transfer to Fiorentina, who both spoke positively about the club and the city. He also mentioned Fiorentina legend Gabriel Batistuta, stating: "He is a legend here, one of the greatest references in the history of this club. I hope to become part of Fiorentina's history."
The player will wear the number 30 shirt, which he donned during his first appearance with River Plate.
