Sassuolo Set to Sign Rafiq Bougallal

Algerian international Rachid Belghali is close to leaving Hellas Verona to join Sassuolo, as negotiations between the two clubs have seen new developments in recent hours.

Italian journalist Di Marzio revealed that officials from Sassuolo and Hellas Verona held a meeting to discuss the final details of the transfer, noting that the meeting had a positive atmosphere and a clear convergence of views, which enhanced the chances of completing the transfer of the Algerian full-back.

According to the same source, the deal is expected to be finalized tomorrow, as part of a swap agreement between the two clubs, whereby Hellas Verona will acquire the services of Eduardo Eianoni, along with a financial sum of €6 million, in exchange for Bilgahi moving to Sassuolo.

The approach of the agreement gives the Algerian full-back a new path in the Italian league, after attracting the attention of several clubs in recent times.

If the deal is completed as proposed, Sassuolo will be the frontrunner to secure Rafiq Belghali's future and bring him into their ranks, pending the final details between the two clubs.
