Crystal Palace Targets Moroccan Talent
Young Moroccan defender Taha Maghni has caught the attention of English club Crystal Palace, which has begun its efforts to sign the Ittihad Tanger player during the current summer transfer window, following his impressive performances with the Moroccan U20 national team.
According to Moroccan reports, Majni is currently undergoing physical and medical tests under the watchful eye of the English club's officials, as Crystal Palace enters advanced and serious negotiations with the management of Ittihad Tawraka to reach a final agreement regarding the player's transfer.
The English club's interest in the Moroccan defender comes after his standout performances during the U20 World Cup, where he was part of the Moroccan national team participating in the tournament. He caught the attention with his physical and technical abilities, alongside his presence in several matches for the Atlas Lions during the global competition.
Majni is 18 years old and is one of the graduates of the Union Touarga academy, having progressed through the various youth categories of the Rabat club before reaching the first team, benefiting from the club's policy focused on developing talent and giving opportunities to young players.
Tawarka Union possesses a strong card in negotiations after renewing Majni's contract last season for five years, which gives the Moroccan club a strong position amid the young defender's long-term contract and Crystal Palace's desire to finalize the deal.
Majni is considered one of the most promising young Moroccan talents with significant room for development, given his age and international experience. This potential transfer to the English Premier League represents a crucial step in his career, as negotiations between Touarga Union and Crystal Palace continue.
