Moamen Soliman expresses anger at Al-Karma players after draw against Mosul

Egyptian coach Moamen Soliman expressed his strong dissatisfaction with the behavior of some of his players during the match against Mosul last night at the Al-Jawlan Stadium in Anbar, in the first round of the Iraqi Premier League, which ended in a 1-1 draw.

The match saw a large turnout of fans, especially as it was the team's official opening for the new season in front of their supporters, who expected a stronger start given the big ambitions the club has this season.

Sources close to the team have confirmed that Suleiman issued sharp remarks to the players multiple times during the match. Camera lenses also captured moments where the coach reprimanded the players for their decline in the required performance and failure to adhere to the technical instructions.

The coach was betting on achieving a complete victory in his first appearance at home and in front of his fans, so signs of anger appeared on him after dropping points that were within reach.

Sources indicate that Suleiman intends to make extensive changes to the lineup for the upcoming match. He told those close to him that he was surprised by the performance of some players and was expecting a better showing, especially since the team had undergone an intensive and successful training camp in Egypt, which made them capable of changing their image compared to last season and presenting a stronger version.

In his post-match comments, the manager said:

"I am sad about the result. We were the better team and very close to securing the win, but we did not take advantage of the chances we had. In the end, we ended up with a draw, and with all due respect to the Al-Mosul team and their coaching staff led by Haitham Al-Shaboul."

He added: "The league is still long and we have many matches ahead. Our goal is to quickly compensate and present football worthy of the name Al-Karma and our wonderful fans who have stood by us from the beginning. We apologize to them because we should have won, and we must correct our course as soon as possible."

Al-Karma have made several new signings this summer based on the wishes of Moamen Soliman, including the acquisition of Pyramids striker Marwan Hamdi and Al-Quwa Al-Jawiya forward Ka'a Ramadan, alongside a group of outstanding players from the domestic league.
