Al-Quwa Al-Jawiya draw important match against Al-Karma in the league
The clash between Al-Quwa Al-Jawiya and Al-Karma ended in a goalless draw 0-0, in a match that failed to meet the required standard and did not satisfy the ambitions of the fans who were expecting a lot from the league leaders and previous title holders.
The match was balanced from both sides, with a relative advantage exchanged, but it lacked attacking focus and the final touch.
In the first half, Al-Quwa Al-Jawiya nearly took the lead when Al-Harith Hatim scored a goal in the 48th minute of stoppage time. The goal ignited the stands of the Hawks, but the joy of Al-Jawiya was short-lived as the referee decided to disallow the goal for offside, a decision that sparked significant protests from the players and coaching staff of Al-Jawiya.
In the second half, the excitement and tension increased. Al-Quwa Al-Jawiya defender Ramadan Sadiq received a red card after getting a second yellow for a strong challenge on an Al-Karma player, leaving the Hawks to finish the match with ten men and in a very difficult position.
Everyone thought Al-Karma would take advantage of the numerical deficiency and snatch the match, which almost happened. In the 87th minute, Al-Karma was awarded a valuable penalty that could have given them three extremely important points to strengthen their lead, but Amoori Faisal bizarrely missed it, as goalkeeper Mohammed Saleh brilliantly saved it, denying Al-Karma a victory that was within reach.
The match did not meet the required technical level, characterized by tension, errors, and physical aggression. It featured the dismissal of Al-Karma coach Mohammed Saleh and an Al-Quwa Al-Jawiya defender, as well as a disallowed goal and a missed penalty.
With this result, Al-Quwa Al-Jawiya have raised their tally to 12 points in 10th place, and they continue to suffer and remain far from the competition. The team that was the champion last season is currently experiencing a real crisis in results.
Al-Karma dropped two important points in the race to maintain their lead but remains at the top with 24 points, keeping their position at the summit. However, they squandered a golden opportunity to pull further away from their pursuers Al Zawraa and Newroz.
