Napoli Battles Roma for Martinelli Signing

Napoli has joined the race to sign Brazilian winger Gabriel Martinelli from Arsenal, adding to the list of clubs interested in the player, which includes Roma, after he rejected a move to Galatasaray for €45 million.

According to "Football Italia," Roma has included Martinelli among the candidates to strengthen their attack, as negotiations with Porto for Rodrigo Mora have stalled.

In this context, journalist Gianluigi Longari confirmed that Napoli has contacted Arsenal to inquire about the possibility of signing Martinelli.

Gabriel Martinelli is 25 years old, and his contract with Arsenal runs until the summer of 2027, with an option to extend for an additional season.

Napoli is struggling to provide the funds for the transfer due to the player's salary and financial constraints. The club also needs to sell some of its players, including Noa Lang, Cyril Ngonge, and Lorenzo Lucca.

The source indicated that Napoli hopes to sell Noni Madueke to Ajax, especially after the Dutch club agreed to sell Mika Godts to Paris Saint-Germain, to raise the necessary funds to sign Gabriel Martinelli.
