AC Milan faces a hurdle in their bid to sign Ethan Nwaneri, the Arsenal and England U21 player, after the English club rejected the offer made for the young talent.

According to "La Gazzetta dello Sport", AC Milan has made an offer to loan Nwaneri for a season, with an option to buy for nearly €40 million, but Arsenal's management has shown no willingness to consider the proposal.

Milan's interest in Nwaneri stems from coach Ruben Amorim's desire to bolster the squad before the end of the summer transfer window, as he seeks to sign three players in defense, wing, and attacking midfield.

Nwaneri is at the top of the options that Amorim is considering to bolster the attacking midfield position. Previously, Arsenal had agreed to loan him to Marseille during the second half of the 2025/2026 season, in a deal that did not include a purchase option.

According to "La Gazzetta dello Sport," Milan is looking at Dario Osorio, a player from Midtjylland, as a potential alternative should the Nwaneri deal falter, while the possibility of signing Soli from Roma has become less likely.

AC Milan is still searching for options to bolster their attacking midfield, but their attempt to sign Nwaneri has so far been met with Arsenal's rejection of the offer, as they await the outcome of the Italian club's movements before the transfer window closes.
