Diaz: We Must Be Ready for What's Coming, That's What Mourinho Expects from Me

Ibrahim Díaz scored the winning goal for Real Madrid against Deportivo La Coruña, leading the royal team to victory in the Teresa Herrera Cup. The match, held at the Riazor Stadium, concluded with Real Madrid winning by a score of 1-0.

Diaz stated: "The match is still preparatory. We are playing here, at Deportivo's stadium, and the match is important to continue raising our physical readiness and to keep working hard. Discussing the goal he scored, Diaz explained: "Lunin saw me in a good position and sent me the ball. I think receiving it on my chest gave me a big advantage to continue the attack. I placed the ball slightly in front of me and finished the move well. It's a good goal, but all the credit goes to Lunin."

Discussing his physical condition and impressions after returning to the team, Diaz said: "I feel very good. We arrived a week ago, Vinícius Júnior, Bernardo, and I, and I feel great. Little by little, I'm getting much better, and I'm very happy with the coach, all the coaching staff, and my teammates."

Diaz revealed the instructions he received from coach José Mourinho during the match against Deportivo, saying: "In today's game, the coach wanted me to move into the midfield and be an additional midfielder, and he asked me to help in building the play, and I am happy with that."
