Valencia is anticipating the completion of Ferran Torres' transfer from Barcelona to Paris Saint-Germain, in order to receive a percentage of the transfer fee according to FIFA's solidarity mechanism.

Spanish newspaper "Mundo Deportivo" reported that Valencia will receive a financial sum from the transfer, as it is the club where Ferran Torres developed and played from a young age.

According to the source, Ferran Torres started his journey with Valencia as a child, remaining with the club until he was 20 years old. He signed his first professional contract when he was just 17.

FIFA's solidarity mechanism stipulates that a percentage of a player's transfer fee is allocated to the clubs that contributed to their training between the ages of 12 and 23. The total percentage amounts to 5% of the transfer value.

If Ferran Torres' transfer to Paris Saint-Germain for €50 million goes through, Valencia will receive over €1 million. This includes approximately €500,000 for the years he spent at the club between the ages of 12 and 15, and around €750,000 for the period until he turned 18, before moving to Manchester City.
