Messi and Family Arrive in Rosario to Bid Farewell to Father

Argentine star Lionel Messi arrived in Rosario, his hometown in Argentina, late Sunday morning to say goodbye to his father, Jorge Messi, who passed away on Friday at the age of 68 after battling illness.

According to the Catalan newspaper "Sport", Messi and his family have arrived in Rosario accompanied by his mother Celia Cuccittini and his siblings Rodrigo, Matias, and Maria Sol, to stand by the family during these difficult times.

The newspaper reported that the funeral ceremonies for Jorge Messi are scheduled to take place at El Prado Cemetery, located in the outskirts of Rosario.

Jorge Messi had been under medical supervision at the Parque Clinic, part of the Centro group, in recent weeks, before his death was announced on Saturday morning following a long struggle with illness.
