Official: Filip Kostić Joins PSV Eindhoven

PSV Eindhoven has officially announced the signing of Serbian international Filip Kostić to bolster the squad for the new season, arriving from Juventus. Kostić, 33, has signed a two-year contract with PSV and will wear the number 18 shirt, currently awaiting a work permit to begin participating with the team. Following the completion of his transfer, Kostić stated: "When PSV reached out to me, it was clear to me right away that I wanted to move to PSV. It took some time to finalize the deal because I wanted to ensure that my family would also feel comfortable here and that everything was suitable, and that has indeed been achieved. I am very happy with this step." The player praised head coach Peter Bosz, confirming that the Dutch manager's style was one of the reasons that encouraged him to join the team, noting that he observed during their conversation that Bosz's way of working and football philosophy matched perfectly with his own ideas. Kostić also revealed the role of Croatian star Ivan Perišić, a PSV player, in convincing him to move to the club, explaining that Perišić had continually encouraged him to come to the Netherlands, telling him he would enjoy the experience and that they would make it difficult for their opponents. Kostić has an impressive career, having previously played for Radnički 1923, Groningen, Stuttgart, Hamburg, Eintracht Frankfurt, Juventus, and Fenerbahçe, and he won the UEFA Europa League with Eintracht Frankfurt. On the international stage, Kostić has made 72 appearances for the Serbian national team and participated in three major tournaments with his country.
