Al-Karma's goalkeeper Laith Sajid has undergone successful surgery on the proximal interphalangeal joint of his second finger, the index finger, following an injury sustained during training yesterday, Tuesday, as part of the ongoing training camp in Cairo.

The young goalkeeper suffered a sudden injury during training, prompting immediate transport to a hospital in Cairo where he underwent necessary tests that confirmed the need for urgent surgical intervention.

The medical staff confirmed that the surgery was successful, and Layth is expected to be sidelined for a period ranging from two to three weeks. During this time, he will undergo a rehabilitation program under the supervision of the team's medical staff before gradually returning to group training.

Lyth Sajid has been the first-choice goalkeeper for the team in recent times, delivering impressive performances that earned him the trust of the coaching staff and fans. Therefore, his absence will be significant in the remaining friendly matches of the camp and at the start of the new season.

The coaching staff is currently looking for a suitable replacement during the player's absence, while giving the young goalkeepers in the team the opportunity to prove themselves.

Laith expressed his gratitude to the medical and administrative staff for their care and follow-up, affirming his commitment to the rehabilitation program and his aim to return as soon as possible to support the team.
