Arsenal is intensifying its efforts to secure a deal for Brazilian winger Vinicius Junior, as uncertainty looms over his future with Real Madrid, where his current contract runs until the summer of 2027.

According to Spanish newspaper AS, Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta is personally leading the efforts to persuade the Brazilian star to move to the Emirates Stadium, having sent him a message confirming that he will be a cornerstone of the team's project for the upcoming season.

The report indicates that Arteta sees Vinicius as the player capable of providing Arsenal with the addition they need to compete for all trophies, after the team came close in the last two seasons to reaching the pinnacle of European football.

The newspaper added that Vinicius has become aware of the crucial role awaiting him should he transfer to Arsenal, which could grant him a more prominent status than he currently enjoys at Real Madrid, where his roles seem less defined in the new project.

Despite player representatives denying any agreement with the English club, the report confirms that Arsenal's interest is genuine and not just circulating rumors during the transfer window.

Vinicius is expected to hold a meeting with Real Madrid officials in the coming hours to determine his final stance, whether it be renewing his contract or opening the door for a departure.

The newspaper concluded by noting that Arsenal could be prepared to make a bid of around €150 million if the player expresses a desire to experience English football, while neither Real Madrid nor Arsenal have confirmed any official negotiations between the two clubs so far.
