Sfaxien Signs Azmi Ghouma on Two-Year Deal
ES Tunis announced on Friday evening the official signing of Tunisian left-back Azmi Ghouma, as part of their efforts to strengthen the squad ahead of the new football season.
The club welcomed their new player through their official platforms, featuring a presentation video that stated: "Welcome to Étoile Sportive du Sahel, Azmi Ghouma." This confirmation comes after days of negotiations leading up to the official announcement.
According to the club's announcement, Ghouma has signed a two-year contract with Joueuse de la Côte, enhancing the left-back position as part of the management's plan to strengthen the squad ahead of the local and continental competitions.
Ghouma is 28 years old and is a product of the Club Sfaxien academy, before embarking on a professional stint with Egyptian club Farco since 2021. During his time with the Egyptian team, he has participated in 110 matches across various competitions, scoring one goal and providing four assists. He has also returned to the pitch after recovering from an anterior cruciate ligament injury.
Sfaxien Star hopes Ghouma will be a significant technical addition on the left flank, as the team aims to build a squad capable of competing fiercely for titles in the upcoming season.
