Al-Ittihad Announces Successful Surgery for Al-Ghamdi

Al Ittihad player Hamid Al-Ghamdi has successfully undergone surgery on his anterior cruciate ligament following the injury he sustained during the team's pre-season preparations for the new season.

The federation issued an official statement confirming the success of the surgical intervention the player underwent on his right knee, amidst careful medical monitoring.

The club stated that the surgery was conducted at Aspetar Hospital in the Qatari capital, Doha, under the supervision of Dr. Emmanuel Papakostas, a specialist in knee injuries.

Al-Ghamdi suffered an injury during the friendly match between Al-Ittihad and South Africa's Orlando Pirates, part of the team's preparations for the new season.

The statement indicated that the player will begin the first phase of his rehabilitation program at Aspetar Hospital, under the supervision of the medical team responsible for his treatment.

The federation confirmed that the club's medical team will continue to coordinate with the rehabilitation team to ensure the treatment program is implemented according to the specified plan.

The coaching staff hopes to regain the services of Hamed Al-Ghamdi following the completion of his treatment and rehabilitation journey, allowing him to return to the pitch in full readiness in the upcoming period.
