Behind the Scenes of Zamalek's New Coach Selection

Zamalek's management is currently working to finalize the appointment of a new foreign coach, amid internal divisions regarding the identity and the most suitable name to lead the white team in the upcoming phase.

Media personality Hani Hathout stated on the "Modern Sports" program on Modern TV that John Edward, the sporting director of Zamalek, has reached a final agreement with Serbian coach Vuk Razovic to take over the team's management. However, the coach requested adjustments to some contract terms before the official signing.

Zamalek's football management is currently working on modifying the terms, in preparation to send the contracts to Razovic for official signing.

Hossam Labib, the president of Zamalek, has expressed his opposition to signing Serbian coach Razovic due to his high salary, estimated at around $90,000 per month. The club president aims to bring in a manager with a stronger resume and greater experience that aligns with the team's ambitions. Labib prefers to utilize this substantial financial budget to secure a globally recognized name that guarantees trophy success.

Hossam Labib concluded his statements by revealing a call that brought him together with Moataz Gamal to discuss his professional future without addressing Zamalek's situation. The club president's inquiry centered on the truth behind his negotiations to coach the Olympic team and the validity of these reports. Labib also wanted to confirm whether Moataz Gamal currently has other coaching offers.
