Palestinian Sports Movement Death Toll Rises to 1,017
The Palestinian Olympic Committee has announced an update to the list of sports martyrs who have fallen since October 7, 2023, confirming that the number has risen to 1,017 martyrs.
The committee stated that the list includes players, coaches, members, and presidents of clubs and sports federations from various provinces, as part of the ongoing documentation efforts for victims in the Palestinian sports sector.
The committee revealed that the latest name added to the list is Fadi Hamdallah Al-Nassan (17 years old), a player from Al-Mughayer club in northeast Ramallah, who was shot dead by Israeli forces last week.
The Palestinian Olympic Committee has confirmed its ongoing efforts to document and monitor violations targeting Palestinian sports at various levels, coinciding with the continuation of military operations and the rising number of casualties.
