Liverpool Leads Arsenal in Race for Barkola
Liverpool is leading the race to sign French winger Bradley Barcola from Paris Saint-Germain during the summer transfer window, as they look to replace the departing star Mohamed Salah.
According to the English newspaper "The Sun," Liverpool is ahead of Arsenal and Bayern Munich in the competition to sign the player, who is valued at around £100 million, following Arsenal's failure to secure Morgan Rogers, who has moved to Chelsea.
The newspaper added that Jan Deumanndy's approach to joining Paris Saint-Germain could ease Barkola's exit, given the French club's desire to restructure its squad and generate financial liquidity.
Parkola, 23 years old, has two years left on his contract and is prepared to take on a new challenge. Meanwhile, Paris Saint-Germain is seeking to finance the signing of Monaco midfielder Akeelouch.
Meanwhile, Liverpool continues to build their team under the guidance of coach Andoni Iraola, preparing to compete in all competitions in the new season.
The English club hopes to finalize the Parkola deal before the start of the Premier League, which kicks off with a match against Newcastle United on August 23.
