Trump: We Will Bid to Host the World Cup Again

President Donald Trump stated that he wishes for the World Cup to return to the United States once again, following the tremendous success of the 2026 edition, which was hosted by the United States, Canada, and Mexico.

Trump stated in remarks reported by American media: "Based on the numbers, we will seek to host the World Cup again immediately."

Trump had previously confirmed his desire for the United States to host the tournament on its own in the future, following the 2026 edition organized in partnership with Canada and Mexico, which saw record attendance and revenue.

The 2026 World Cup saw Spain crowned champions for the second time in their history, defeating Argentina 1-0 after extra time in the final match held at MetLife Stadium in New Jersey.
