Barcelona inquires about Ghiocares

Barcelona has begun to explore a new attacking option during the summer transfer window, turning their attention to Arsenal striker Viktor Gyökeres as they aim to bolster their forward line before the start of the new season.

According to El Nacional, Barcelona officials held two meetings with the Swedish striker's representatives last month to explore the possibility of completing the transfer and to understand the terms of his move to Spotify Camp Nou.

The report added that Arsenal could agree to sell Jovic for a fee estimated at around €60 million, which may give Barcelona the opportunity to enter into formal negotiations in the upcoming period, should they decide to sign him.

Barcelona's interest in Viktor Gyökeres comes as the Catalan club continues to seek a new forward, evaluating several options in the transfer market. It is known that Julián Álvarez remains the primary target for the Catalan club.

Barcelona is keen on signing a new forward this summer, especially after the departure of Polish striker Robert Lewandowski.
