Lamine Yamal and Pedro Porro are continuing their special recovery program three days before the 2026 World Cup final, after facing physical issues during the semi-final match against France. Spanish newspaper "Mundo Deportivo" reported that the coaching staff of the Spanish national team is handling their conditions with caution to avoid any risks before the highly anticipated match against Argentina.

The two players took part in the beginning of Thursday's training session, but they did not train with their teammates, limiting themselves to stretching exercises. Sources within the Spanish Football Federation confirmed that their condition is not a cause for concern.

Pedro Porro is suffering from a hamstring strain, while Lamine Yamal has sustained a bruise and a minor problem with his right ankle. Yamal was seen during training with a bandage on his left thigh, which is the site of the injury he sustained before the World Cup.

The report clarified that the coaching staff, led by Luis de la Fuente, refuses to take the risk of featuring two of the national team's standout players until their full readiness is confirmed.

Meanwhile, the rest of the Spanish national team trained normally at the New York Red Bulls training center, preparing for the final.

A positive atmosphere prevails within the Spanish national team camp, with expectations that Lamine Yamal and Pedro Porro will gradually join group training starting Friday, in preparation for the World Cup final against Argentina.
