Tottenham Rejects First Nottingham Bid for Bergwijn
Tottenham Hotspur has rejected the first offer made by Nottingham Forest to sign Swedish midfielder Lukas Bergvall, which was valued at around £38 million (approximately €44 million).
Bergwijn is the primary target for Nottingham Forest's management to compensate for the departure of midfielder Elliott Anderson, as the club continues its efforts to strengthen the midfield during the summer transfer window.
According to the Telegraph, Nottingham Forest is ready to make a second improved bid in an attempt to convince Tottenham to part with the player, while the London club values Bergwijn at around £50 million.
This refusal comes as Tottenham holds firm on their young Swedish talent, despite increasing interest from Nottingham Forest to complete the deal during the current transfer window.
