Nottingham Forest Secures Schlager Deal

Nottingham Forest has finalized the signing of Austrian midfielder Xaver Schlager on a free transfer, following a conclusive agreement among all parties, as confirmed by journalist Fabrizio Romano.

Schlager will sign a contract that runs until June 2028, with an option to extend for an additional season until June 2029, as part of the club's plan to strengthen the midfield ahead of the new season.

The signing of the Austrian international comes at the request of his compatriot, coach Oliver Glasner, who has prioritized Schlager for his experience in the Bundesliga and on the international stage.

The former Leipzig player has successfully completed his medical examination, and all agreements are in place. Only the official announcement from Nottingham Forest remains, marking the team's first free signing of the summer.
