Adeyemi Arrives in Barcelona for Medical Check
German forward Karim Adeyemi has arrived in Barcelona, preparing to officially complete his transfer to the Catalan team, making him the club's second signing of the summer transfer window ahead of the 2026/2027 season.
Spanish newspaper "Mundo Deportivo" reported that Adiemi, 24, arrived at Barcelona Airport on a private jet from Dortmund, accompanied by family members, and expressed his great happiness at joining the club he has supported since childhood.
The report added that the player will undergo a medical examination on Thursday before Barcelona officially announces his signing, after the club reached an agreement with Borussia Dortmund for a transfer fee of €22 million, plus €7 million in add-ons.
The Spanish newspaper reported that Borussia Dortmund will retain 30% of the profits from any future sale of the player, while Adeyemi is set to sign a contract extending for five years until the summer of 2031.
After completing the necessary procedures, Adiemi will join Barcelona's training in preparation for the new season under the guidance of coach Hans Flick, who previously gave him the chance to make his debut with the German national team.
The report indicated that the official presentation of the player will take place next week, following the return of club president Joan Laporta and sporting director Deco from the United States, where they are attending the World Cup final.
