Spain's star Lamine Yamal wasn't the only one capturing attention during La Roja's journey in the 2026 World Cup. His three-year-old brother, Keyne, has become a social media sensation, frequently caught on camera celebrating enthusiastically in the stands.

The young boy became the talk of fans and media after he was seen during Spain's celebrations for reaching the semifinals following their victory over Belgium, making funny faces and sticking out his tongue in front of the giant screen in the stadium. This prompted Lamine Yamal to laugh on the pitch, recalling that his brother had told him in advance what he planned to do.

After the match, Yamal said: "I was in physical therapy when he called me using my mother's phone and told me he would stick out his tongue in front of the camera the next day, so when I saw him on the screen, I burst out laughing."

Keyne is now being described in Spanish and international media as the "World Cup star in the stands" and "the most beloved character of the tournament," as videos of him cheering for Spain and celebrating its victories in a spontaneous manner have gone viral.

This wasn't his first appearance, as he had previously celebrated with his brother on the pitch after Spain won the Euro 2024, and he also accompanied him to the Ballon d'Or ceremony in Paris, frequently appearing in clips shared by Yamal and their mother, Sheila Ibana, on social media.

Lamine Yamal emphasized the special bond he shares with his brother, stating: "My little brother means everything to me; I adore him, and I feel like he is my son."

The Barcelona star also spoke about the significant role his family has played in his life, noting that his mother gave birth to him when she was sixteen, while his father worked collecting items from the streets to make a living. He added: "That is real pressure; all I have to do is play and make the Spanish fans happy."

Yamal concluded by expressing that what brings him the most joy today is his ability to provide a better life for his family, saying: "I grew up in a home where the bedroom and kitchen were in the same place, but now I see my mother happy, and I see my brother living the childhood I wished I could have lived, and that is what makes me happiest."
