Official: Al-Ittihad Confirms Ahmed Sharahili's Injury and Surgery in Portugal

Al-Ittihad has officially announced the details of defender Ahmed Sharahili's injury, which he sustained during the pre-season preparations. Medical examinations confirmed a complete tear in the peroneus longus tendon in his left ankle.

The club explained that the injury occurred while the player was following an individual rehabilitation program before the season began, noting that this is a new injury in a location he has not previously injured, following examinations by the club's official medical partner.

Al-Ittihad added that the medical team, after consulting with several specialists in orthopedic surgery and foot and ankle injuries, decided to have Sharahili undergo surgery next week in Porto, Portugal, by one of the leading specialists in this type of injury.

Ahmed Sharahili is expected to start a treatment and rehabilitation program after the surgery, with the medical team determining the duration of his absence from the pitch based on the progress of his condition and response to treatment in the coming period.
