Yamal: France Should Fear Us, Our Goal is the Title
Lamine Yamal, the star of the Spanish national team, expressed his immense joy after qualifying for the semi-finals of the 2026 World Cup, affirming that the team came to the tournament to compete for the title until the end.
After the 2-1 victory over Belgium in the quarter-finals, Yamal said: "We are very happy. We have spent long days here, and our goal is to reach the end and win the title."
Regarding the match's events, he added: "We were the better side. The goal we conceded felt strange, as we were going through our best period when they scored, but no team has managed to match us toe-to-toe."
The Barcelona player spoke about the marking he faced during the match, stating: "That's normal, but in the end, there is only one player who marks me. We came to win, and the most important thing is always the team."
On the upcoming clash against France in the semi-finals, he concluded: "If anyone should fear the other, it’s them, because we have already knocked them out before. We are two great teams, and for me, they are the best in the tournament, but we feel no fear."
