Thomas Letsch Set to Join Al-Shabab as Head Coach
The management of Al-Shabab has entered advanced stages to finalize the contract with German coach Thomas Letsch to lead the first team in the upcoming season of the Roshen Saudi League.
Negotiations between the two parties are progressing positively, with discussions reaching significant points of agreement, and an official announcement about the deal is expected in the coming days.
Al-Shabab's management hopes that Letsch will mark the beginning of a new phase for the team, helping it regain its balance and return to the competition for local titles.
The 57-year-old German coach has extensive experience in European football, with his last coaching stint being at Red Bull Salzburg in Austria.
Letsch took charge of Salzburg in January 2025, before his relationship with the club ended last February after a period spent in the Austrian league.
He also previously managed Austria Vienna from February 2018 to March 2019, making him a name that combines European experience with tactical discipline.
