Arsenal Signs Goalkeeper Illan Meslier
Arsenal has officially announced the signing of French goalkeeper Illan Meslier from Leeds United, bolstering the squad ahead of the 2026-2027 season.
Meslier, 26, spent seven seasons with Leeds United, making 215 appearances across all competitions and keeping 70 clean sheets. The French goalkeeper began his career at the Lorient academy before signing his first professional contract in 2018 and making his first-team debut that same year.
Meslier joined Leeds United on loan in the summer of 2019, with the deal becoming permanent after the club's promotion to the Premier League, where he made 107 appearances.
After signing with Arsenal, Meslier said: "I am extremely happy; it’s a great day for me as I join the league champions. For me, Arsenal is the biggest club in England. I am very proud to join this club, and I can’t wait to show my love for this badge, as I look forward to winning trophies with this team, because this is a club that should continue to collect titles time and again."
