Barcelona is nearing the completion of its preseason schedule after adding a new match to its preparation calendar. The Catalan club will participate in a three-team friendly tournament featuring Udinese and Nottingham Forest on August 8 in Udine, alongside previously scheduled friendlies against Europa and Birmingham City.

The team will return to training on July 13 at the Joan Gamper Sports City, where players will undergo the usual medical and physical examinations before starting a two-week training period at the club's facilities. They will then play their first friendly match against Europa on July 24.

Barcelona will travel to England for a training camp from July 27 to August 2 at St George's Park, where they will face Birmingham City on July 31 at St Andrew's Stadium.

Spanish newspaper "Mundo Deportivo" reported on July 1 that an agreement was reached to hold a friendly match against Udinese on August 8. Other reports indicate that Barcelona has also agreed to a three-team tournament involving Nottingham Forest alongside the Italian team, to be held in Udine on the same date.

Barcelona is still working to finalize its friendly program ahead of the season, having received offers to play two matches in Rabat, Morocco, and Nairobi, Kenya, though their confirmation is still pending. Another friendly match is expected to be organized during the training camp in England, with Watford and Stoke City being the most likely opponents.

Meanwhile, the Joan Gamper Trophy is scheduled for August 19, but the identity of the opponent has not yet been determined, although Egyptian club Al Ahly has been mentioned among the potential teams.
