Former Al Ahly player Aliou Diang, who recently transferred to Valencia, emphasized the strength of the Egyptian league, pointing out that the performance of the Egyptian national team, mostly composed of players from the league, in the World Cup is a testament to this. Valencia has signed the 28-year-old midfielder from Al Ahly on a contract that runs until 2028, with an option for an additional year during the current summer transfer window. Diang stated in remarks reported by Spanish newspaper Marca: "The Egyptian league is unknown? That's just a widespread notion.
