Valencia Signs Aliou Dieng on a Contract Until 2028
Valencia CF has officially announced the signing of Malian midfielder Aliou Dieng on a free transfer following the expiration of his contract with Al Ahly. He has signed a deal that runs until June 2028.
Dieng, 28, becomes Valencia's fourth signing of the summer transfer window, with coach Carlos Corberan counting on him to strengthen the midfield thanks to his defensive skills, physicality, and vast experience gained during his time with Al Ahly and the Mali national team.
During his presentation as a new player for the 'Bats', Dieng expressed his excitement about embarking on his first experience in La Liga, stating that his goal is to help Valencia return to European competition. He said, "I want to help the team get back to the Champions League, and I will give my all to achieve that."
Dieng arrives at Valencia after a successful stint with Al Ahly, where he won numerous domestic and continental titles, and has played over 250 official matches at the club level, in addition to being a key player for the Mali national team.
