Zamalek's New Registration Halted Due to Tangier's Dues
Reports indicate that the suspension of Zamalek's new registration is due to overdue financial obligations related to the transfer of Moroccan player Abdelhamid Maali from Ittihad Tangier, specifically the final installment owed to the Moroccan club.
According to details, FIFA has issued a decision to halt Zamalek's registration until the outstanding dues are settled, while officials from Ittihad Tangier confirmed that the Egyptian club has not yet resolved the matter, and the registration ban will remain in effect until the decision is implemented and the owed amount is paid.
Zamalek signed Abdelhamid Maali in the summer of 2025, but his stint ended quickly as he returned to Ittihad Tangier. However, the financial dispute between the two clubs regarding the transfer fee concluded with a ruling from FIFA in favor of the Moroccan club.
Zamalek's management is seeking to resolve the issue in the coming period to lift the registration ban, allowing the club to register new signings in preparation for the upcoming season, while Ittihad Tangier insists on receiving its full dues as per FIFA's decision.
