Amorim Demands the Return of Liberali to Milan, Player Prefers Como
Robin Amorim, the new head coach of AC Milan, has requested the club's management to work on bringing back the young midfielder Mattia Liberali during the summer transfer window.
The "Football Italia" website, citing "Sky Sport Italia," reported that Amorim was impressed with the player's performance with Catanzaro in the Italian Serie B and believes he deserves a chance with the first team.
Liberal, a 19-year-old graduate of the Milan Academy, moved to Catanzaro in the summer of 2025 on a free transfer, with the club retaining 50% of the value of any future transfer.
The report indicated that the player's contract includes a release clause worth 6 million euros, giving Milan a financial advantage to reclaim him compared to other clubs.
Despite Milan's interest, the player is not guaranteed sufficient playing time, which makes him inclined to move to Como.
The report emphasized that Liberali has a clear priority, which is to join a team that gives him the opportunity to play regularly in the Italian league.
