Barcelona players continued their strong presence in the 2026 World Cup, with 15 players from the Catalan team securing qualification to the round of 32, an achievement that reflects the club's significant presence on the international stage.

The Spanish newspaper "Mundo Deportivo" reported that the list expanded after several Barcelona players qualified with their national teams, as Raphinha with Brazil, Frenkie de Jong with the Netherlands, and Jules Koundé with France secured their tickets to the next round, topping their groups.

Lamine Yamal, Pedri, Gavi, Dani Olmo, Pau Cubarsi, Ferran Torres, Juan Garcia, and Eric Garcia qualified with the Spanish national team after La Roja finished at the top of Group H by defeating Uruguay. Meanwhile, the young forward Hamza Abdel Karim qualified with the Egyptian national team, which secured second place in Group G after a draw with Iran.

The newspaper added that the English players Anthony Gordon and Marcus Rashford, who is still officially under contract with Barcelona until June 30, also secured qualification to the round of 32 before playing the final match in the group stage. Additionally, Joao Cancelo and the Portuguese national team booked their spot in the next round, awaiting the determination of the group leader in the final round.

On the other hand, Ronald Araújo was the only Barcelona player to exit the tournament, as the Uruguay national team was eliminated in the group stage. The defender did not play a single minute due to a minor muscle tear in his calf, which prevented him from appearing for his national team throughout their World Cup campaign.
