Officially.. Hervé Renard Appointed as Coach of the Tunisian National Team

The Tunisian Football Federation announced the appointment of French coach Hervé Renard as the head coach of the Tunisian national team until the end of the 2026 World Cup competitions. He will begin his duties starting this evening, retaining the same financial benefits stipulated in the contract.

The Tunisian Federation clarified that the agreement made with Renard includes reopening negotiations after the team's participation in the World Cup, with the aim of reaching a long-term partnership based on specific sporting objectives agreed upon by both parties.

Renard's appointment comes just hours after the dismissal of coach Sabri Lamouchi, following a heavy 5-1 defeat to Sweden in the first round of the group stage. Meanwhile, the Tunisian national team is preparing for its remaining matches against Japan and the Netherlands.

The Tunisian Federation also announced the organization of a press briefing for the new coach, Hervé Renard, at the training ground, half an hour before the start of the training session. The French coach will be introduced to the media and will discuss the upcoming phase with the "Eagles of Carthage."
